Berlin’s feminist queercore force EAT MY FEAR is back with a brand new release and their first 12”. Material for this record was created and recorded during the harsh times of lockdowns and isolation. The process of gentrification in Berlin intensified during the pandemic and resulted in the "cleansing" of the city of DIY and radical spaces. One of the memorable moments amidst the only shows that happened in town in that time was the Eat My Fear set outside of Köpi during an anti-eviction protest. The show was stopped after only a few songs by police intervention and riots. The message throughout this entire album is a call for resistance and solidarity, for reclaiming and creating new places, and for developing projects where the concepts of a life free from capitalism and patriarchal power structures can be put into practice. It’s a call to everyone to empower those who decide not to follow society’s norms. Eat my Fear has built a place for all their frustration and anger within their music, and at the same time, they also offer a promise of mutual support. The band and this record are an appeal not to give up and instead to continually fight back. Eat My Fear are a voice that needs to be heard amidst the current hardcore punk scene. This release is a way for that message not just to be heard, but to be heard LOUD. Co-release between Emancypunx Records and Refuse Records
